Late summer 2012 saw the release of a new musical offering from Canada's Afternoons In Stereo, the Soul Sugar EP. With three new tracks (and one remix), it was the first new original material under the AiS name in over two years. With the aid of a kitschy video the title track from the EP became an underground favourite, immediately making many DJ's playlists and inspiring over 11,000 views and counting on YouTube. Reaction has been unanimously praise-worthy, and anticipation for a full new album is at it's highest! While Afternoons In Stereo readys the new studio record for release later this spring, Timewarp Music is proud to present a batch of alternate remixes of 'Soul Sugar' from four of the most distinct acts on the Timewarp roster. This new 4-track EP presents several very different takes on the popular title track, bringing distinct and global perspectives to Soul Sugar that make it all-the-more-sweet.

Up first is Dutch producer Niles Philips who, having mesmerized listeners around the world with his last album 'Snobs & Robbers', continues to be one of the guiding lights at Timewarp. Deftly mixing his distinct brand of head-bobbing grooves to the approval of dancefloor enthusiasts across the globe, here he twists up a dubby remix that measures the hypnotic sway of the original against an impressively infectious groove.

Relative newcomers AUditors DOmination hail from Greece, and released their debut album just last year and quickly followed it up with a well-received collectio Palace Of Light Remixes of which Afternoons In Stereo contributed a deep, sexy take on their track 'Rose Of Ispahan'. Here. AUDO return the favour and apply their sweet and hazy lounge-ready techniques in a unique re-rub that will no doubt find a very receptive home in our favourite kind of laid-back clubs and bars, ones where it is less about being seen and more about being heard!

French producer Leon is known in many circles as the Man With The Ball Head, as his last studio album proudly proclaimed! No doubt he's known more so for his well-loved brand of hard-hitting funk, much of which is credibly indebted to both modern breaks and 70's soul-funk. His high-rolling remix of 'Soul Sugar' brings a powerful bass-dominated version of the original that will sound perfect blaring from your car stereo or as the backdrop to a beats-heavy night of weekend revelry.

Closing out the EP is Zamali's take on the track, which no surprise does not fail to impress! Long established in the funk and breaks scene as a DJ to be reckoned with, the Belgian producer is also well at home in the studio where he concocts slice after slice of serious funk-based grooves duly noted and playlisted by discerning DJ's around the world. His take on the track Soul Sugar brings a welcome dose of his signature brand of funked- up, hip-hop stylings.
